We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support and feedback as we’ve worked to make Notey the best sticky notes application it can be. Your enthusiasm has been the driving force behind our progress, and we are incredibly grateful for your trust in our product.

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease distributing new versions of Notey for Linux. While we have loved supporting the Linux community, the shift will allow us to focus our development efforts exclusively on Windows. This decision was not made lightly and reflects our goal of providing the most stable, feature-rich experience possible for the majority of our users.

What Does This Mean for Linux Users?

• Existing Versions: If you already have Notey installed on Linux, it will continue to function as it currently does. However, no further updates or patches will be released for the Linux platform.
• Version 2 Availability: The current version of Notey (v.2) will continue to work on Linux, and we will ensure that it remains available for download. You can find the v.2 download link on our website.
• Windows Development: Moving forward, we will channel our resources into enhancing the Windows version of Notey, introducing new features, and ensuring top-notch performance.

Why This Change?

Supporting multiple platforms requires significant time and resources. We’ve seen a growing user base on Windows, and concentrating our efforts there will enable us to innovate faster and deliver higher-quality updates.
